CAMPUS SUMMARY
The Academy is housed in a six-story building that is a registered New York City landmark. It includes classrooms, rehearsal studios, theatres, costume and stage shop facilities and a handsome library. The Academy was founded in 1884 “to provide a broad and practical education to those desiring to make careers as actors.”

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
The Academy is dedicated to a single purpose: training actors. Every activity at the school is dedicated to that end. For the serious, committed, and well-motivated student, the Academy offers more than a center of success; it offers a balanced and carefully structured curriculum and a qualified faculty. The Professional Training Program requires two years to complete and leads to an associate degree. A post-graduate year is offered to selected graduates.
